Two quiet weekends in a row???

It just hardly ever happens that I have 2 quiet weekends in a row! Usually I am driving to the Bay Area every other weekend.... Well, actually I did drive to Brooke and Evan's but only for this afternoon and evening. I was able to get a lot done around the house both weekends and I went to 2 movies! One last Saturday and one yesterday. The weather has been so beautiful. I got some planting done on my patio too!

I could have stayed home and continued my leisurely Sunday after church today. But I hadn't seen McKenzie and Brynn for 2 weeks so I decided to just go over for dinner. Now that they are in Pleasanton it is so much easier to drive there compared to when they were in Menlo Park. I have been trying to stick close to home in case AT&T goes on strike. The Union contract has expired and we are waiting to see if they are going to strike or accept the new contract. If the strike happens then I will be working 12 hours a day, 6 days a week.. IF it happens. So we'll see. I have been classified as essential so I won't have any different assignment other than my own job. Some of my peers have strike assignments- as techs, operators, service reps,etc. I am thankful I am pretty specialized working with government accounts-- so I will stay at my own desk. But since there are fewer people we are all expected to work the longer hours. So listen for the news in the next week or two- hopefully by then it will be settled.

One other quick mention - Congratulations to Brooke and Evan- for celebrating their 5th Anniversary!!! They have a beautiful family and a beautiful marriage.

Happy Birthday to my beautiful daughter!! She is 25! Where does the time go?! She is on the other side of the world so I can't give her a big birthday hug. But she knows I am thinking of her!! She is busy planning her wedding that will be in Sweden this summer. I can hardly wait!!!

McKenzie and I made Easter cupcakes tonight. She thinks they are in honor of Cami's birthday! So in addition to Easter- they are birthday cakes for Cami. I know Cami is an adult and living her own independent life, which is the way it should be.... but I really wish I could be with her for her birthday. This is her 3rd birthday in a row that I haven't been able to be with her. Sweden is still pretty cold in April so it may be awhile longer before I can be with her on her birthday!! ( I don't do cold very well!) Have a good day Cam- we all love you and miss you so much!

Reagan is 7!!!!!!!!!

I can hardly believe my oldest granddaughter is 7 today!!! She is growing up wayyyyyy too fast! I was able to be with her last month but I wish so much I could be with her to celebrate with her and the rest of the family today. I could not be more proud of how wonderful she is. Not only is she a beautiful child on the outside she is beautiful on the inside too. She is such a good sister to Jenna! She is taking her friends to the movie "Hannah Montana" for her birthday party! How fun! I love you Reag and miss you soooo much! Have a Happy Birthday!!
