Club 33

This past weekend was so fun! My friend, Ronni, retired from AT&T. To celebrate we were able to go to Disneyland and experience Club 33. It is a private club (of which AT&T is a member) right in the middle of Disneyland above Pirates of the Caribbean. You have to hit the buzzer to let them know you are there. Then they come down and get you. It only has a "33" on the outside of the door so not real obvious to the usual tourist in Disneyland. The ambience is amazing- very elegant. You do not feel the excitement of Disneyland going on outside. Instead, you feel as though you are in a special restaurant - which you are.... not the usual wait in line for half an hour and then have to try and find a seat amongst hundreds of others in the heat. Instead, there were 2 tables reserved for 19, very attentive waiters, great salads, entrees, fancy desserts, gorgeous interiors. Very impressive and very exclusive. How lucky was I to able to be a part of the celebration!!! It was a fast trip. I did manage a visit with Joanie and Allen. So special note to Barb and other friends and family in So CAL-- I did not have time to get down to San Diego like I would have!

Reagan and Jenna!

I am late posting but couldn't pass up the opportunity to share my visit with Reagan and Jenna (oh yea- and Ian and Anayansi!!) last week. I only had a few days and didn't get to see everyone in Dallas that I wanted to. But I was able to have so much fun- having tickle parties, story times, dance-offs, and some good old fashioned shopping! I love being involved in their daily lives- something I don't get a chance to do often. I even got to have lunch with Reagan at her school and meet her teacher! I am amazed at how well Reagan can play her violin now- and how well she is reading!! She is growing up so fast!! And Jenna is growing too fast too. For a 3 year old-she has her own distinct likes and dislikes. She loves to color and read books. She plays so well by herself. She LOVES to dress up!! Every time I turned around Jenna was changing her clothes - putting on her Minnie dress, or princess dress or just a cute skirt so she could dance.

It was wonderful to spend time with Ian and Anayansi too, of course. Ian managed to spend some good quality time with me even though he had to work some on Saturday and Sunday. They were able to get away for a date for dinner. I "sacrificed" and stayed with the girls!!! Yea- right! We had a blast while mom and dad were gone!

I did get to see my cousins, Grace, Vicki and Roger. It was fun to visit with them at Roger and Vicki's office. We saw their son and his family too. Then I was able to see Grace and her daughter, Alison, and her husband and step-son. The visits were too short but it was nice to see them. I hope next time I go I have more time to see more family and just spend more time with Ian and his family.

Silly Reagan and Jenna!
