It is officially summer........... Over 100 degrees 2 days in a row. I was in Pleasanton for the weekend at Brooke and Evan's. It was so hot there. (Sacramento was worse!) We managed to be indoors most of the time. But when we weren't it was almost overwhelming. I had so much fun with McKenzie and Brynn this weekend. Brooke and Evan went out Friday night. Brooke said Kenzie could stay up later so I took her literally! When they got home at 9 we were still reading books. Being the party animal that I am I figured we would live dangerously! Of course, she still woke up just before 7am on Saturday morning so it didn't help getting her to sleep in later like I thought it might! I really know better- that kid has more energy than anyone I have ever seen- including any of my own children at that age! She is non- stop 100% of the time.
Brynn is at a great stage- she is so close to walking- probably about 3 weeks away is my guess. She is one funny kid. My greatest moment with her was when her mom tried to take her out of my grasp and Brynn clung tightly to me not wanting to go to her mom!! Yea- she finally realizes too along with McKenzie, Reagan and Jenna that Grandma loves to spoil them and they know where their bread is buttered!
I left P-Town early today- and ended up going into the office for 4 hours. Brooke and Evan had Stake Conference which I didn't know about ahead of time. So I still couldn't get to my church on time. Instead- I headed for work. I have so much work to do that I could work 12 hours a day for the next month straight- no weekends off - and I would still not be caught up. I try not to let it get to me- but on Friday the PRINTER MADE ME CRY!!! That is bad. I am just reaching that point of frustration that nothing is easy. Every project I have is complex and tedious. I don't know how long it is going to be this way. But I don't see any end in sight for now. My friend,Lynn, summed it up pretty well. Step 1 -- get frustrated. Step 2--Get angry. Step 3-- Cry. And Step 4-- Laugh. I finally got to Step 4 later on Friday. And this week I do have an awesome 4 day weekend coming up next weekend- so that will get me through Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday! It is going to be a great post next week.... I will be telling you all about my high school reunion. OH- I can't wait to feel 16 all over again! =)

Brynn loves the new chair Debbie and Greg bought her for her birthday!

Brynn is ONE!!!!!!!
Happy Birthday to my little Brynn. A year ago today I was in San Diego for a friend's daughter's wedding. My trip was cut short- I changed my plans to hurry back because Brooke went into labor and had Brynn about 10 days early. So I was back in the Bay Area about 9 hours after she was born. I took over with McKenzie (Boz is a great babysitter). We went to the hospital to meet her new baby sister. McKenzie was so cute- she was sooooo excited.
Brynn is such a joy- she smiles so much. I think she smiles in her sleep cause she is always smiling. For being only one year old she has a wonderful sense of humor too. She plays a game -when you tell her "NO" she laughs and just keeps doing what she is not supposed to be doing! She will stop to see your reaction and then laugh and do it again. She lights up so much when she watches her big sister. When she is upset- it is McKenzie that can soothe her the fastest. It is precious to see her interact with her mom and dad. Her dad throws her in the air and she loves it!!!!! But when push comes to shove- she wants her mom. She loves to cuddle!
She loves strawberries, popsicles, and her blankie! I don't remember what life was like before she was on this earth! She adds so much to our family. Happy Birthday Brynn. Grandma loves you so much! I will see you this weekend.

Kelly's wedding
This past week was eventful! I had the pleasure of attending Kelly and Marcus's wedding on Thursday evening. I have known Kelly since she was in first grade. She grew up with my kids in Pleasanton. It was so fun to see her become a Mrs! When I think of her as a child I think of her doing flip flops across her front lawn. She was a fantastic gymnast. She was more comfortable playing sports with the boys then dolls with the girls! However- she has grown into a beautiful woman. She and Marcus have an adorable 2 year old son, MJ. He was so cute in his tuxedo at the wedding! Kelly and Marcus are currently enjoying their honeymoon in Tahoe. So congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Roman. I wish you happiness and love always.
